The disclosure describes a method and a device for pumping fiber suspensions of high consistency. Shear forces disrupting fiber flocs are induced near the front edge of the vanes of the impeller in a centrifugal pump which fluidize the fiber suspension hereby converting it into an easily pumpable state. four to; iMd Is: and os The invention relates to devices for pumping slurries in fibrous materials and is intended for centrifugal slurries used in paper and cellulose washes for pumping slurry of fibrous materials or fibrous masses of high consistency. The aim of the invention is to increase the pumping efficiency by destroying the fibrous structure using tangential forces. Fig. 1 shows a pump for pumping fiber suspensions, a vertical sectional view in Fig. 2, a section A-A in Fig. 1 {in Fig. 3, an embodiment of the pump} in Fig. 4, section B-B in Fig. 3. The pump for pumping fiber-TbDt suspensions includes a housing 1 in which the impeller 2 with blades 3 is located. The impeller is rotatably fixed on the shaft 4.- An outlet (not shown) is formed in the housing 1. Inlet duct 5 located coaxially with the impeller 2 t On the shaft 4, a yank-mounted rotor 6, placed in the intake duct 5 in front of the impeller 2. The cylindrical surface 7 of the inlet duct 5 is provided with protrusions 8 and recesses 9. The periphery 10 of the rotor 6 along its entire axial length is provided with protrusions 11 and recesses 12. The notches 9 and 12 are provided with axially opposing open ends. The pump inlet 5 is connected to the outlet window of the cooking autoclave 13 with a pulp (Fig. 1) In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the protrusions and depressions of the rotor 6 and the inlet channel 5 are formed by the non-circular cross-sectional shape of the rotor 6 and the non-circular cross-section corresponding to it by the inlet channel 5. Tests have shown that the proposed pump is well adapted for pumping various fibrous masses used in paper and cellulose industry and having a consistency from 8 to 12%.
